The elasticised side-wall keeps it snug on the mattress without bunching up, even after several washes. Adds a nice layer of cushioning under the sheets, and the cotton surface feels genuinely breathable.

The diamond quilting looks classic and the cotton surface feels soft against the skin, but the elasticised side-wall rides up a bit on the corners of my thicker mattress overnight. It does add some cushioning, though I’m not sure it’s holding up better than a cheaper flat sheet after a few washes.
